For the purpose of the Contest, family members are defined as spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brother, sister, children and grandchildren. Void where prohibited by law.
      2. 2. CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD: THE CONTEST begins on October 18, 2019, 2019 at 12:01 AM and expires November 3, 2019 at 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time. NWF may modify the Contest Entry Period in its sole discretion.
      3. 3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Entry Period, to establish verifiable parental consent, the Entrant’s parent or legal guardian must submit an entry to the CONTEST (the “Entry”) by visiting WWW.NWF.ORG/PLAYINGWITHFIRE (“Website”). This should include entering the parent or legal guardian’s name and contact information, as well as the first name and age of the Entrant. The National Wildlife Federation is asking kids ages 6-13 to WRITE A PARAGRAPH OR POEM about your favorite tree and tell us why trees and forests are important to you. ENTRY INFORMATION: A valid Entry must contain answers to all requested information on the Website. The judges use this information to help them select the winners. Not providing full information may disqualify your Entry by the Judges. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Entry Period (defined below). Subsequent attempts made by the same individual to submit multiple entries by using multiple e-mail addresses or otherwise may be disqualified. Entries generated by a script, computer programs, macro, programmed, robotic or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, false, lost, late or misdirected, deceptive or otherwise not in compliance with the Official Rules (defined below) may be disqualified from the CONTEST at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. In the event a dispute regarding the identity of the individual who actually submitted an entry cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected entry will be deemed ineligible. The Website’s (defined below) database clock will be the official time keeper for this CONTEST. In the event of a dispute regarding any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the parent or legal guardian of the Entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder. Illegible and/or incomplete entries and entries submitted by entrants who do not meet the eligibility requirements (including all requirements with respect to age and residence) are void. By submitting an Entry you have accepted the Rules.
      4. 4. CONTEST CRITERIA: We are looking for the best description of your favorite tree and tell us why trees and forests are important to you. See the Website for more information.
      5. 5. JUDGING: At the end of the Contest Entry Period, the Companies will categorize and rank entries based on point system to determine the top five (5) Entries . A panel of judges will then be assembled, including, wildlife experts, non-profit personnel, and conservation-minded activists, who will rank the top five (5) entries in ranking order to select the Grand-Prize Winner (the “Prize winner”). All decisions by the Judges will be final and binding.
      6. 6. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Prize winners will be notified via email, U.S. mail, telephone, and/or by overnight courier, using the information provided on the submission form.
